No. 05-10-00253-CV

Opinion Filed July 20, 2010.

On Appeal from the 303rd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas, Trial Court Cause No. 09-09621-V.

Before Justices O'NEILL, FRANCIS, and MURPHY.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

On May 20, 2010, the Court sent a letter to appellant questioning this Court's jurisdiction over this appeal. Appellant is appealing an associate judge's order to return a child. We explained that, except in circumstances not applicable in this case, an associate judge's order is not appealable to this Court. See Tex. Fam. Code Ann. § 201.016(a) (b) (Vernon 2008). We requested that appellant file a jurisdictional brief explaining how this Court has jurisdiction over the appeal. We warned appellant that if he failed to file a jurisdictional brief within the time allowed, the appeal may be dismissed for want of jurisdiction without further notice. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a).

Appellant's jurisdictional brief was due June 10, 2010. As of today's date, Appellant has not filed a jurisdictional brief. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal for want of jurisdiction. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.3(a).
