Before the Court are (1) appellants' September 15, 2022 motion to abate the appeal or extend the deadline for filing their opening brief, (2) appellants' September 26, 2022 supplement to the motion, (3) appellees' September 27, 2022 response to the motion to abate and motion for injunctive relief, and (4) appellants' September 27, 2022 response to the motion for injunctive relief. We DENY the abatement request. We also DENY appellees' motion for injunctive relief because it does not comply with the filing requirements for an original proceeding. See Tex. R. App. P. 52. We GRANT the extension request and ORDER appellants' opening brief be filed no later than October 26, 2022.
