DEONTA HUFFMAN, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent
ORDER
Eunkyong Choi Special Trial Judge
This case is currently calendared for trial at the Court's Atlanta, Georgia trial session, which is scheduled to begin September 26, 2022. On August 19, 2022, respondent filed a Status Report with the Court indicating that respondent's Appeals Office has made multiple attempts to reach petitioner and has been unable to do so as petitioner has been nonresponsive. Allowed sufficient time, the respondent believes that the case is susceptible to settlement and intends to concede the accuracy-related penalty under section 6662(a). Respondent respectfully request that the Court allow the parties additional time to resolve this case and order status reports in 90 days.
Upon due consideration, it is hereby
ORDERED that, on or before November 17, 2022, the parties shall submit to the Court either a stipulated decision or file a joint report (or separate reports, if preferred) regarding the then-present status of this case. It is further
ORDERED that this case is stricken from the above-referenced calendar, and the parties are excused from appearing at calendar call. It is further
ORDERED that this case is continued. It is further
ORDERED that jurisdiction is retained by the undersigned.
