Opinion
No. 04-20-00129-CV

From the 150th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2017-CI-12481
Honorable Peter Sakai, Judge Presiding
ORDER
Appellee has filed a third motion for an extension of time to file the appellee's brief. This court's order granting appellee's second motion for an extension advised counsel that no further extensions of time would be granted absent a timely motion that: (1) demonstrates extraordinary circumstances justifying further delay; (2) advises the court of the efforts counsel has expended in preparing the brief; and (3) provides the court reasonable assurance that the brief will be completed and filed by the requested extended deadline.
Appellee's third motion demonstrates extraordinary medical circumstances, but does not advise the court of the efforts counsel has expended in preparing the brief; or provide the court reasonable assurance that the brief will be completed and filed by the requested extended deadline. Appellee is ordered to file an amended motion complying with this court's prior order by November 23, 2020. Appellee is advised that if a timely motion or brief is not filed, the case may be submitted without an appellee's brief.
