BARBARA HENDERSON v. NEIL D. SWEENEY, SWEENEY LAW FIRM, LLC AND CONTINENTAL CASUALTY COMPANY


In Re: Neil D. Sweeney, Sweeney Law Firm, LLC, and Continental Casualty Company, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 619000. BEFORE: GUIDRY, THERIOT, AND DRAKE, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED AND REQUEST FOR STAY DENIED. The April 1, 2015 oral ruling denying the Motion to Continue and Reset Hearing and Allow Additional Discovery filed by defendants Neil D. Sweeney, Sweeney Law Firm, LLC, and Continental Casualty Company is hereby reversed and judgment is entered in defendants' favor, granting their motion. The defendants are entitled to depose plaintiff Barbara Henderson prior to the hearing on plaintiff's cross-motion for partial summary judgment. See La. Code Civ. P. art. 966.
