Appeals having been taken by defendants-appellants from orders of the Supreme Court, New York County, entered on or about January 19, 2018 and May 9, 2019, and from a judgment of the same court entered on or about July 24, 2019, and the consolidated appeals having been perfected,

And Business Council of New York State, Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York, New York Insurance Association, Inc., Building Trades Employers Association, Associated General Contractors of New York State, NFIB Small Business Legal Center, Coalition for Litigation Justice, Inc., American Property Casualty Insurance Association, and National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies having collectively moved for leave to file an amici curiae brief in connection with the aforesaid appeals, (M-2730),

And Turner Construction Company, Skanska USA Building Inc., Tishman Construction Corporation, Gilbane Building Company, and the Associated General Contractors of New York State having collectively moved for leave to file an amici curiae brief in connections with the aforesaid appeals (M-2731),

And the New York Transit Authority having moved for leave to file an amicus curiae brief in connections with the aforesaid appeals (M-2754),

Now, upon reading and filing the papers with respect to the motions, and due deliberation having been had thereon, it is

Ordered that each motion is granted and that each amicus curiae brief shall be served on the parties, and one original and five duplicate hard copies, and one digital copy, of each amicus curiae brief shall be filed in this Court, with proof of service, on or before October 14, 2020; and it is further,

Ordered that the brief filed in response to the amici curiae briefs, attached to the affirmation of Matthew Gaier , Esq, dated August 27, 2020, shall be served on the parties, and one original and five duplicate hard copies, and one digital copy, shall be filed in this Court, with proof of service, on or before October 14, 2020.
