JEFFREY SCOTT HAZLETT, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 380th Judicial District Court Collin County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 380-81088-2015

ORDER

Appellant was convicted of indecency with a child by sexual contact. On May 5, 2017, appellant filed a brief which was incomplete. He then filed an amended, complete brief on May 8, 2017, followed by a May 9, 2017 motion to file the amended brief. Although appellant states he is using initials to identify the child victim in the brief, he later identifies the complaining witness by name. Therefore, we STRIKE appellant's May 5 brief and his May 8 amended brief.

We GRANT appellant's motion to the extent we ORDER appellant to file, within FIFTEEN DAYS of the date of this order, an amended brief that identifies the complaining witness and any other child witnesses by initials only.
