RECOE HARRIS v. STATE OF LOUISIANA THROUGH LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND CORRECTIONS, ELAYN HUNT CORRECTIONAL CENTER

In Re: Recoe Harris, applying for supervisory writs, 18th Judicial District Court, Parish of Iberville, No. 72590.

BEFORE: KUHN, HIGGINBOTHAM AND THERIOT, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED WITH ORDER. The district court's October 9, 2013 judgment denying Relator's petition for writ of mandamus is a final, appealable judgment. Therefore, the writ is granted for the limited purpose of remanding the case to the district court with instructions to grant the Relator an appeal pursuant to the October 15, 2013 pleading notifying the district court of Relator's intention to seek writs and requesting a return date order. See In Re Howard, 541 So.2d 195 (La. 1989). A copy of this Court's order is to be included in the appellate record.
