Melanie Lynn HAGNER, Appellant v. Juan Antonio VALDEZ Jr., Appellee

From the 407th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2023-CI-01683 Honorable Rosie Alvarado, Judge Presiding

ORDER

Luz Elena D. Chapa, Justice

Appellant's amended brief was originally due May 30, 2024 but was not filed. On June 4, 2024 we ordered appellant to file the brief no later than June 14, 2024. On June 7, 2024 appellant filed a motion asking for an extension of time to file the brief.

We grant the motion and order appellant to file the amended appellant's brief no later than July 15, 2024. Appellant is advised that no further extensions of time will be granted absent a motion, filed before the brief is due, that (1) demonstrates extraordinary circumstances justifying further delay, (2) advises the court of the efforts she has expended in preparing the brief, and (3) provides the court reasonable assurance that the brief will be completed and filed by the requested extended deadline. If neither the brief nor a motion for extension of time is filed by the date ordered, the court may dismiss the appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(a); 42.3(c).

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 13th day of June, 2024.
