On April 3, 2020, the trial session scheduled to begin in Los Angeles, California, on May 18, 2020, was canceled due to concerns related to COVID-19, and this case was assigned to the undersigned judge. On June 24, 2021, the parties reported to the Court that they have reached a basis for settlement. By prior Orders, the Court provided the parties with additional time to file a decision document reflecting their settlement.
On September 16, 2022, the parties filed a Joint Status Report (Doc. 42) requesting additional time for respondent to confirm petitioners' correct tax liabilities and to file a decision document.
The Court believes that the parties have been provided sufficient time to review documentation, request additional computations if necessary, and prepare a decision document. Accordingly, the case will be added to the Court's January 17, 2023, in-person Los Angeles, California, trial session.
Upon due consideration, it is hereby
ORDERED that, on or before October 20, 2022, the parties shall file with the Court either a joint report (or, if that is not expedient, then separate reports) describing the status of the case or a stipulated decision document. It is further
ORDERED that this case is scheduled for trial during the Court's January 17, 2023, Los Angeles, California, in-person trial session scheduled to commence at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time in Room 1167, Edward R. Roybal Center and Federal Building, 255 E. Temple Street, Los Angeles, California 90012. It is further
ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall serve on the parties the Court's Standing Pretrial Order for the January 17, 2023, Los Angeles, California trial session.
This Order constitutes official notice of its contents to the parties.
