BENITO GUERRERO, JR., Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 443rd District Court Ellis County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 47607CR

Panel Consists of Justices Wise, Bourliot, and Wilson.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

Appellant is represented by appointed counsel, J. Daniel Oliphant. Appellant's brief was originally due January 22, 2024. We granted three extensions of time to file appellant's brief until May 22, 2024. When we granted the most recent extension, we noted that no further extensions would be granted absent exceptional circumstances. To date, counsel has submitted no brief. We accordingly issue the following order.

Accordingly, we order J. Daniel Oliphant to file a brief with the clerk of this court on or before July 1, 2024. No extensions of this deadline will be granted absent exceptional circumstances. If appellant's counsel does not timely file the brief as ordered, the court may issue an order requiring appointment of new counsel.
