ORDER

On May 24, 2024, we issued an order noting that appellant filed her notice of appeal late but within the time allowed for filing a motion for extension of time. See TEX. R. APP. P. 26.1(A), 26.3; Verburgt v. Dorner, 959 S.W.2d 615, 617 (Tex. 1997). We ordered appellant to file a response presenting a reasonable explanation for the untimely notice of appeal by June 10, 2024. On June 5, 2024, appellant filed a satisfactory response. We therefore retain this appeal on our docket.
Our May 24 order further noted that appellant's notice of appeal requested the appointment of an attorney to represent her in this appeal because she is indigent. Because "[c]ivil litigants are generally not entitled to be represented by counsel absent a legislative mandate," In re State, 556 S.W.3d 821, 827 (Tex. 2018), we ordered appellant to provide authority to support her request for appointed counsel. While appellant filed a response to that portion of our order, she did not identify any authority to support her request for appointed counsel. Accordingly, we have no choice but to DENY appellant's request.
The reporter's record is now due. We ORDER the court reporter to file either the reporter's record or a notification of late record by July 8, 2024. We will set the deadline for appellant's brief after the reporter's record is filed. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(A).
