STEVE GOMEZ, Appellant, v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee.

Do not publish. Tex.R.App.P. 47.2(b).

On appeal from the 227th District Court of Bexar County, Texas.

Before Justices Longoria, Silva, and Peña.

ORDER

PER CURIAM.

This cause is before the Court on appellant's third motion for extension of time to file appellant's brief. Appellant's brief was originally due on September 1, 2023. After two previous extensions, appellant's brief was due to be filed on December 18, 2023. On November 1, 2023, the Clerk of the Court sent appellant notice that no further extensions would be granted absent new and exigent circumstances.

However, the Court, having fully considered appellant's current motion and motions for extension of time to file the brief previously granted in this case, is of the opinion that, in the interest of justice, appellant's third motion for extension of time to file the brief should be granted with order.

Accordingly, appellant's third motion for extension of time to file the brief is hereby granted. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Honorable H. Todd McCray, counsel for appellant, file appellant's brief with this Court on or before 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024.
