Opinion

Case No. 95-3949

Decision filed February 5, 1997 Rehearing Denied March 27, 1997.

Appeal from the Circuit Court for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit, Broward County; Joel T. Lazarus, Judge; L.T. Case No. 94-16272 CF.

Richard L. Jorandby, Public Defender, and Cherry Grant, Assistant Public Defender, West Palm Beach, for appellant.

Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and James J. Carney, Assistant Attorney General, West Palm Beach, for appellee.

AFFIRMED.

GLICKSTEIN and STEVENSON, JJ., concur.

STONE, J., concurs in part and dissents in part with opinion.

While I concur with the majority as to the remainder of the issues, in my judgment it was error not to suppress appellant's statement because of Edwards v. Arizona, 451 U.S. 477, 101 S.Ct. 1880, 68 L.Ed.2d 378 (1981).
