On order of the Court, the application for leave to appeal from the June 5, 2001 decision of the Court of Appeals is considered, and it is GRANTED. The parties are directed to include among the questions to be briefed whether Buscaino v Rhodes, 385 Mich. 474 (1971), is consistent with the language of MCL 600.1901 and of MCR 2.101(B) to the effect that a civil action is commenced by filing a complaint with the court.

Persons or groups interested in the determination of the question may move the Court for permission to file briefs amicus curiae.
