Masoumeh Ghaffari & Mohammed Farahmand Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

David Gustafson, Judge..

Respondent filed a motion for summary judgment (Doc. 7), which petitioners, through new counsel, have opposed (see Doc. 20). On September 23, 2021, respondent filed a status report (Doc. 22) that states in part:

5. Respondent and petitioners' counsel believe that a settlement could be reached after obtaining those [insurance cancellation] documents.
6. Accordingly, respondent's counsel respectfully requests that the Court hold respondent's motion for summary judgment in abeyance at this time while petitioners' counsel retrieve the necessary documents.

It is

ORDERED that respondent's motion for summary judgment is denied without prejudice. It is further

ORDERED that, no later than November 29, 2021, and every 60 days thereafter, the parties shall file a joint status report (or, if that is not expedient, then separate reports).
