Natalie George and all Occupants v. Cerberur SFR Holdings II L.P. Court

County Civil Court at Law No. 2 of Harris County Trial court number: 1207389

ORDER

GORDON GOODMAN, JUDGE

On November 10, 2023, appellant Natalie George filed a motion to stay the county court's final judgment issued in the underlying eviction case on September 20, 2023. But Section 24.007 of the Texas Property Code provides that "A judgment of a county court may not under any circumstances be stayed pending appeal unless, within 10 days of the signing of the judgment, the appellant files a supersedeas bond in an amount set by the county court." Tex. Prop. Code § 24.007(a). Appellant does not allege, and there is no record indicating, that appellant has paid the supersedeas bond ordered in the trial court's final judgment. Accordingly, we must deny appellant's request to stay the judgment in this case.

It is so ORDERED.
