From the County Court at Law, Ellis County, Texas

Trial Court No. 13-C-3097

Jim Chapman, Judge Presiding

ORDER

Appellant's brief was due on August 28, 2013. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.6(a). After no brief or motion for extension of time was filed, on September 18, 2013, we ordered Appellant to show cause in writing by September 30, 2013, why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. See id. TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a).

On September 24, 2013, Appellant filed a written response to our show cause order. Appellant's response stated that he had sent a motion for extension of time to the Waco Court of Appeals, and asked for an extension of sixty days to have "time to get an attorney." Appellant's written response satisfies our September 18, 2013 show cause order.

Appellant's motion is GRANTED IN PART. Appellant's brief must be filed within thirty days of the date of this order.
