ABRAHAM GARCIA, Appellant, v. LEGENDS EDINBURG D/B/A LEGENDS EDINBURG, Appellee.

On appeal from the County Court at Law No. 2 of Hidalgo County, Texas.

MEMORANDUM OPINION

Before Chief Justice Contreras and Justices Benavides and Longoria
Memorandum Opinion by Justice Longoria

Appellant Abraham Garcia, proceeding pro se, filed a notice of appeal regarding a judgment of eviction rendered by the County Court at Law No. 2 of Hidalgo County, Texas. The appellant's brief in the above cause was originally due on November 19, 2018. On November 26, 2018, the Clerk of this Court notified appellant that the brief had not been timely filed and that the appeal was subject to dismissal for want of prosecution under Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.8(a)(1) unless, within ten days from the date of notice, appellant reasonably explained the failure and the appellee was not significantly injured by the appellant's failure to timely file a brief.

To date, appellant has not filed a response to our directive or his brief in this matter. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a); id. R. 42.3(b)(c).

NORA L. LONGORIA

Justice Delivered and filed the 24th day of January, 2019.
