MEMORANDUM OPINION
This is an appeal from a final decree of divorce signed March 14, 2005. The clerk's record was filed on August 15, 2005. The reporter's record was filed July 13, 2005. Appellant's brief was originally due September 14, 2005, but was not filed. On October 6, 2005, the case was ordered to mediation, but the court sustained appellee's objection to mediation and lifted the mediation stay on November 4, 2005. Appellant's brief was then due December 5, 2005. Appellant requested an extension of time to file the brief, which the court granted until January 5, 2006. On January 19, 2006, the court granted appellant a further extension of time until February 3, 2006, to file the brief. On January 26, 2006, a supplemental reporter's record was filed, and the due date for appellant's brief was extended to February 27, 2006. No brief was filed.
On March 9, 2006, this court issued an order stating that unless appellant submitted his brief, together with a motion reasonably explaining why the brief was late, on or before April 10, 2006, the court would dismiss the appeal for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 42.3(b). Appellant filed no response.
Accordingly, the appeal is ordered dismissed.
