AMENDED JUDGMENT IN A CIVIL CASE

Jury Verdict. This action came before the Court for a trial by jury. The issues have been tried and the jury has rendered its verdict.

IT IS ORDERED AND ADJUDGED

That the jury finds in favor of the Plaintiff on the claims of false arrest, excessive force and malicious prosecution awarding compensatory damages in the amount of $5,000.00 as to Defendant Gunsalus and the jury further awards nominal damages in the amount of $1.00 as to Defendant Kelly on the claim of false arrest.

All of the above pursuant to a jury verdict rendered before the Hon. Frederick J. Scullin, Jr. on July 20, 2021.

IT IS ORDERED AND ADJUDGED

That Defendants' motion for judgment as a matter of law, qualified immunity, or a new trial is DENIED and it is further it is ORDERED that Plaintiff's motion for a new trial on punitive damages is DENIED.

IT IS ORDERED AND ADJUDGED

That Plaintiff's motions for attorneys' fees are GRANTED to the extent that the Court finds that he is entitled to $141,305.25 in such fees, costs, and disbursements.

All of the above pursuant to the memorandum-decision and orders issued by the Honorable Frederick J. Scullin, Jr., on January 10, 2022 and on October 20, 2023.
