JOSE JUAN FLORES, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the County Court at Law Rockwall County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. CR15-1639

ORDER

When appellant's brief had not been filed, we abated this appeal for a hearing in the trial court. The trial court held a hearing on September 29, 2017. Six days later, court reporter Deborah Hamon filed a letter with the Court, informing us that she was not filing the supplemental reporter's record from the September 29, 2017 hearing because appellant had not paid or made arrangements to pay for the supplemental reporter's record.

The reporter's record from the September 29, 2017 hearing has no bearing on the merits of the underlying appeal. The hearing was necessary for this Court to manage its docket and to ensure that appellant is being adequately represented on appeal; it is not appellant's burden to cover the cost of such a hearing ordered by this Court.

We ORDER court reporter Deborah Hamon to file, within TEN DAYS, of the date of this order, the supplemental reporter's record from the September 29, 2017 hearing.
