CARMEN HILDA MERCED FLORES, Appellant v. KENNETH GARRETT, Appellee

On Appeal from the 311th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 2022-78327

Panel Consists of Justices Jewell, Bourliot, and Zimmerer.

ORDER

PER CURIAM

On September 4, 2024, appellant's counsel, Matthew A. Skillern, filed a motion to withdraw as counsel for appellant Carmen Hilda Merced Flores. In counsel's motion, Skillern states that there are no settings or deadlines in this case. See Tex. R. App. P. 6.5(a)(1). This is incorrect. As of today, appellant's brief is due October 14, 2024.

Because counsel's motion to withdraw otherwise complies with Rule 6.5 of the Rules of Appellate Procedure, we grant the motion.

Appellant may file a pro se motion to extend time to file a brief if appellant needs additional time to procure counsel or prepare a pro se brief.
