THE FLORIDA BAR Complainant(s) v. RAMON ISMAEL MELENDEZ Respondent(s)


The uncontested report of the referee is approved and respondent is permanently disbarred. Respondent is currently suspended; therefore this permanent disbarment is effective immediately. Respondent shall fully comply with Rule Regulating the Florida Bar 3-5.1(h).

Respondent shall pay restitution in the amounts of $26,500.00 to Ramon Mendez and Francisca Mendez, $100,000.00 to Luis Cardona, and $15,000.00 to Pablo Leon and Josephine Leon under the terms and conditions set forth in the report.

Judgment is entered for The Florida Bar, 651 East Jefferson Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2300, for recovery of costs from Ramon Ismael Melendez in the amount of $3,152.00, for which sum let execution issue.

Not final until time expires to file motion for rehearing, and if filed, determined. The filing of a motion for rehearing shall not alter the effective date of this permanent disbarment. POLSTON, C.J., PARIENTE, LEWIS, QUINCE, CANADY, LABARGA, and PERRY, J.J., concur. A True Copy
