NICHOLAS GLENN FIELDS, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee
On Appeal from the 282nd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F22-33663
ORDER
BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN JUSTICE
The clerk's record filed June 3, 2024, is incomplete because it does not include the trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal from the judgment of conviction. Rule of Appellate Procedure 25.2(a)(2) requires the trial court to complete a trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal "each time it enters a judgment of guilt or other appealable order." Tex.R.App.P. 25.2(a)(2).
We ORDER the Honorable Amber Givens, Presiding Judge, 282nd Judicial District Court, to transmit to the district clerk within TEN DAYS of the date of this order a signed trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal that accurately reflects the trial court proceedings and the defendant's right of appeal.
We ORDER Felicia Pitre, Dallas County District Clerk, to file a supplemental clerk's record containing the trial court's certification of defendant's right of appeal within THIRTY DAYS of the date of this order.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Amber Givens, Presiding Judge, 282nd Judicial District Court; Felicia Pitre, Dallas County District Clerk; Christina O'Neil, Chief Judicial Staff Counsel for the Criminal District Courts, Dallas County; and counsel for all parties.
