Fails v. State

Supreme Court of Florida.
Oct 16, 2014
153 So. 3d 904 (Fla. 2014)

Opinion

No. SC14–1198.

10-16-2014

Anthony J. FAILS, Petitioner(s) v. STATE of Florida, Respondent(s).

Opinion

The petitioner has filed a petition for writ of mandamus. To the extent that the petition seeks review of the barring orders entered by the Circuit Court of the First Judicial Circuit, in and for Escambia County, Florida, and the First District Court of Appeal, the petition is hereby dismissed. See Mathews v. Crews, 132 So.3d 776 (Fla.2014). To the extent that the petition challenges petitioner's convictions and sentence, the petition is hereby dismissed because the Court has determined that relief is not authorized. See Baker v. State, 878 So.2d 1236 (Fla.2004). Any motions or other requests for relief are hereby denied. No rehearing will be entertained by this Court.

PARIENTE, LEWIS, QUINCE, CANADY, and POLSTON, JJ., concur.
