EX PARTE JOHN MORGAN STAFFORD
On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 1 Collin County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 001-00466-2022
ORDER
LANA MYERS JUSTICE
Before the Court is the request of the Collin County Clerk for an extension of time to file the clerk's record. The clerk's request is GRANTED and the clerk's record has been filed.
In reviewing the clerk's record, the Court notes that it does not contain a certification of appellant's right to appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 25.2(a)(2) (requiring the trial court to enter a certification of the right to appeal each time it enters a judgment or other appealable order other than an order appealable under chapter 64 of the code of criminal procedure). Accordingly, we ORDER the trial court to sign and file, by June 9, 2022, a certification of appellant's right to appeal.
We ORDER appellant to file his brief by June 16, 2022. We ORDER the State to file its brief by July 8, 2022. If appellant desires to file a reply brief, the reply brief is due within fifteen days of the date the State files its brief. After the briefs have been filed, the Court will notify the parties of the submission date and panel.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Corrine A. Mason, Presiding Judge, County Court at Law No. 1; Stacey Kemp, Collin County Clerk; and counsel for all parties.
