The Court is in receipt of appellant's notice of appeal from the trial court's order denying relief on his pretrial application for writ of habeas corpus. This is an accelerated appeal and is governed by Texas Rule of Appellate Procedure 31.
We ORDER Court Reporter Savannnah Liles to file, by MARCH 29, 2024 the reporter's record of the hearing on the writ application.
We ORDER appellant to file his brief by APRIL 19, 2024. We ORDER the State to file its brief by MAY 10, 2024. If appellant desires to file a reply brief, the reply brief is due within FIFTEEN days of the date the State files its brief. After the record and briefs have been filed, the Court will notify the parties of the submission date and panel.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Baldemar Garza, Presiding Judge of the 229th Judicial District Court Jim Hogg County; Savannnah Liles, court reporter; and counsel for all parties.
