ORDER
ALBERT G. LAUBER JUDGE.
On December 6, 2023, respondent filed a status report requesting that the Court set this case for trial to begin no earlier than May 2024. By Order served December 7, 2023, we directed the parties to file, on or before January 22, 2024, a status report (jointly if possible, otherwise separately) proposing dates for trial between May 13 and June 14, 2024. In that report, the parties were to include the expected trial length and to "indicate whether either prefers that trial be conducted remotely rather than in person."
On January 17, 2024, respondent filed a status report estimating a trial length of 4-8 hours and requesting that the case be set for a remote trial "any week between May 20, 2024 and June 14, 2024." He represents that he filed his report after "multiple attempts to communicate with petitioners' counsel." Petitioners did not file by the January 22 deadline a status report proposing alternative dates for trial. Because Monday, May 27, 2024, is a Federal holiday, the remote trial will begin on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.
In consideration of the foregoing, it is
ORDERED that this case is calendared for a two-day remote special session beginning on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. New York, New York, shall be listed as the place of trial for this remote proceeding. It is further
ORDERED that the Clerk of the Court shall serve on the parties: (1) a Notice of Remote Proceeding that shall contain comprehensive instructions on how to participate in the Court's remote special session beginning May 28, 2024, and (2) a copy of the Standing Pretrial Order for that special trial session.
This Order constitutes official notice of its contents to the parties.
