Edgardo BÁEZ and the Báez Law Firm, P.C., Appellants v. Gilberto VILLEGAS, Appellee

From the 37th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2016CI02694
Honorable David A. Canales, Judge Presiding

ORDER

On April 25, 2018, after Appellants failed to file their brief or a motion for extension of time to file it, we ordered Appellants to show cause in writing by May 10, 2018, why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of prosecution. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a), 42.3(b), (c); Elizondo v. City of San Antonio, 975 S.W.2d 61, 63 (Tex. App.—San Antonio 1998, no pet.). Appellants' written response states Appellant Edgardo R. Báez was out of town for a family emergency, and Appellants request an additional five days to file the brief. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(a).

Our April 25, 20187 show cause order is satisfied. Appellants' motion is GRANTED. Appellants' brief is due on May 10, 2018.
