Opinion

No. 1D21-0264

03-19-2021

Eric EASTER, Petitioner, v. STATE of Florida, Respondent.

Eric Easter, pro se, Petitioner. Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Trisha Meggs Pate, Bureau Chief, Tallahassee, for Respondent.

Eric Easter, pro se, Petitioner.

Ashley Moody, Attorney General, and Trisha Meggs Pate, Bureau Chief, Tallahassee, for Respondent.

Per Curiam.

Eric Easter petitions this court to order the trial court to rule on his pending postconviction motion. However, as it turns out, the trial court issued a 2014 order barring him from any future pro se filings in the case. The petition for writ of mandamus is DENIED. See Pettway v. State , 776 So. 2d 930, 931 (Fla. 2000) (refusing to order lower court to consider habeas petition because the petitioner had "abused the judicial processes of the lower courts" to the extent he had "been barred from filing certain actions there").

Roberts, Rowe, and Tanenbaum, JJ., concur.
