CHRISTOPHER DUGAS, ET AL. v. CITY OF VILLE PLATTE, ET AL.

MAGISTRATE JUDGE HANNA JUDGMENT

This matter was referred to United States Magistrate Judge Patrick J. Hanna for report and recommendation. After an independent review of the record, and noting the absence of any objections, this Court concludes that the Magistrate Judge's report and recommendation is correct and adopts the findings and conclusions therein as its own. Accordingly,

IT IS ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED that the Evangeline Parish Police Jury's motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim under Fed. R. Civ. P. 12(b)(6) (Rec. Doc. 32) is GRANTED, the plaintiffs' request for limited discovery on this issue is DENIED, and the plaintiffs' claims against the Police Jury are dismissed with prejudice, consistent with the report and recommendation.

Signed at Lafayette, Louisiana, this 21 day of September, 2017.
