DAN V. DSHARP, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Kathleen Kerrigan Chief Judge

On May 23, 2022, an imperfect petition was filed commencing this case. In compliance with the Court's Order served June 10, 2022, petitioner filed a First Amended Petition. On September 12, 2022, respondent filed an Answer to Amended Petition. Pending before the Court is a motion to proceed remotely filed by petitioner on August 1, 2023. It appears, however, that petitioner may be incarcerated. In consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that, on or before April 28, 2023, the parties (i.e., petitioner and respondent) shall confer regarding the progress of this case, including the status of petitioner's incarceration. The Court encourages the parties to cooperate and communicate with their opponent, and prepare this case for trial or other resolution, so that the parties can resolve among themselves any issues that can be resolved without the Court's involvement. Respondent shall use the means at his reasonable disposal to confer with petitioner on the progress of the case. It is further

ORDERED that on or before May 5, 2023, respondent shall file a status report that describes the current progress in the case, including the status of petitioner's incarceration, what actions the parties have taken to prepare this case for trial or other resolution, and of the issues raised in this matter.
