Quincy Devon Dorsett v. The State of Texas

Trial court: 270th District Court of Harris County No. 2021-80209

ORDER

Amparo Monique Guerra, Judge

Appellant, Quincy Devon Dorsett, currently incarcerated and proceeding pro se, filed a notice of appeal of the trial court's April 18, 2024 final judgment. On September 4, 2024, appellant filed a "Motion for Leave to Proceed In Forma Pauperis," requesting that he be permitted to proceed without payment of costs on appeal. However, appellant previously filed a request for leave to proceed without payment of costs on appeal on August 6, 2024.

Appellant's request was granted by the Court on August 15, 2024, confirming that appellant was entitled to proceed without payment of costs on appeal. Because the Court has already granted appellant's request to proceed without payment of costs on appeal, his September 4, 2024 "Motion for Leave to Proceed In Forma Pauperis" is unnecessary and therefore denied as moot.

It is so ORDERED.
