LAQUITA JACKSON DAVIS v. JOE DEMARCO LONG

LC No. 20-004010-NI

ORDER

Elizabeth L. Gleicher, Chief Judge, acting under MCR 7.203(F)(1), orders:

The claim of appeal is DISMISSED for lack of jurisdiction and failure to pursue the case in conformity with the rules. MCR 7.203(A)(1), 7.201(B)(3), and 7.216(A)(10). The March 24, 2023 order is not a final order as defined in MCR 7.202(6)(a)(i) because it does not dispose of claim against defendant, Joe Demarco Long. Additionally, the Clerk of this Court provided notice regarding the nature of the defects in this filing, and the defects were not corrected in a timely manner by providing this Court with an order resolving the claim against Long, proof of e-service on all defendants, the lower court docket entries, and a jurisdictional checklist. Dismissal is without prejudice to the filing of a late appeal under MCR 7.205(A)(4), provided such a filing meets all requirements under the court rules and is not time-barred.
