Davis v. Bradshaw

Supreme Court of Florida.
Apr 1, 2015
168 So. 3d 224 (Fla. 2015)

Opinion

No. SC14–754.

04-01-2015

Jermaine DAVIS, Petitioner(s) v. Ric BRADSHAW, Sheriff, etc., Respondent(s).

Opinion

Because Petitioner has failed to show a clear legal right to the relief requested, he is not entitled to mandamus relief. Accordingly, the petition for writ of mandamus is hereby denied. See Huffman v. State, 813 So.2d 10, 11 (Fla.2000).

Petitioner's “Motion to Relinquish Jurisdiction,” filed on December 5, 2014, and Respondent's “Motion to Strike Plaintiff's Motion to Relinquish Jurisdiction,” filed on December 9, 2014, are hereby denied. Any other motions or requests for relief are also denied.

PARIENTE, LEWIS, CANADY, POLSTON, and PERRY, JJ., concur.?
