Kathleen Darleen DANIEL, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee
From the 216th Judicial District Court, Kendall County, Texas
Trial Court No. 5924, 5925 & 5926
Honorable N. Keith Williams, Judge Presiding
ORDER
On October 17, 2016, appellant filed a motion to consolidate appeal cause numbers 04-16-00576-CR, 04-16-00577-CR, and 04-16-00578-CR. Appellant is represented on appeal by Ms. Angela Moore. In the motion to consolidate, Ms. Moore represents that the "questions involved in the three appeals are so related as to make consolidation of the appeals advisable and that such consolidation will expedite the consideration of the appeals." Ms. Moore served the State with a copy of the motion, and the State has informed the clerk of this court that it does not oppose the motion.
Therefore, it is ORDERED that the three cases shall be consolidated for briefing and argument purposes (if argument is requested and granted). The parties shall file motions, briefs, and other pleadings as if the three appeals were one case, but shall put all three appeal numbers in the style of the case. The record, however, shall remain separated. If oral argument is requested and granted, all three cases shall be argued together, as a single appeal, and the total time limit for each side at oral argument shall equal the ordinary time limit for a single appeal. The court will dispose of the entire case with the same judgment, opinion, and mandate. This order does not extend the briefing schedule.
Ms. Moore did not request that the clerk's records or the reporter's records be combined. --------
The clerk's records and reporter's records remain due October 31, 2016.
