DENNIS M. CURTIN, ET AL., Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Ronald L. Buch Judge

This case is set for trial at a special session of the Court beginning on October 15, 2024. On October 2, 2023, the Court issued a scheduling order in this case. That scheduling order set June 28, 2024, as the deadline for filing any motions to compel discovery. And on June 28, 2024, the Commissioner filed such a motion, specifically a Motion to Compel Production of Documents. From the text of that motion, it appears that petitioners are in the midst of responding to the discovery requests, but that the Commissioner has not yet received the complete response(s). But with the deadline to filing a motion to compel having drawn near, the Commissioner filed his motion protectively. We will order petitioners to respond to the Commissioner's motion. That response may be as brief as to merely inform the Court that petitioners have fully satisfied the discovery request(s) or a more fulsome response if petitioners have not complied. To allow time for petitioners to complete their discovery responses, yet keep this case on track, it is

ORDERED that by July 12, 2024, petitioners shall file a response to the Commissioner Motion to Compel Production of Documents, filed June 28, 2024.
