On Appeal from the 203rd Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F22-33921.
ORDER
BONNIE LEE GOLDSTEIN, JUSTICE.
Before the Court is court reporter LaToya Young's December 9, 2024 second request for extension of time to file the reporter's record.
The reporter's record was originally due June 7, 2024. This Court repeatedly reminded the Official Court Reporter, David Laurel, that the reporter's record was overdue.
On October 3, 2024, Mr. Laurel filed a statement with this Court that LaToya Young is the court reporter for this case. On October 4, 2024, this Court ordered Ms. Young to file the reporter's record on or before November 4, 2024.
On November 7, 2024, Ms. Young filed her first request for extension of time to file the reporter's record; this Court granted the request and ordered Ms. Young to file the reporter's record on or before December 3, 2024.
In this request, Ms. Young states, "I have several records that are due and I will need additional time to complete this record. I am asking for a 30-day extension." We GRANT the request, and we ORDER Ms. Young to file the complete and accurate reporter's record on or before JANUARY 2, 2025.
We caution Ms. Young that should she fail to file the complete reporter's record within the time stated, the Court will utilize whatever remedies it has available, which may include ordering that she not sit as a court reporter until she files the complete reporter's record in these appeals.
We DIRECT the Clerk to send copies of this order to the Honorable Raquel Jones, Presiding Judge, 203rd Judicial District Court; Donna Trotman, Official Court Reporter, 203rd District Court; Christina O'Neil, Chief Judicial Staff Counsel for the Criminal District Courts, Dallas County; and counsel for all parties.
