On March 20, 2023, petitioner filed a Motion to Proceed Remotely, using the form described in the Court's Administrative Order 2021-01 available on the Court's website at https://ustaxcourt.gov/administrative_orders.html. On April 21, 2023, respondent filed an unsolicited Notice of Objection to petitioner's motion. Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that, on or before May 22, 2023, the parties (i.e., petitioner and respondent) shall confer regarding the status of the case and the parties' views as to the above-referenced pending motion. The Court encourages the parties to cooperate and communicate with their opponent, and to exchange documents and information, and to prepare this case for trial or other resolution, so that the parties can resolve among themselves any issues that can be resolved without the Court's involvement. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before June 5, 2023, respondent shall file status report, that describes the current status in the case, what actions the parties have taken to develop and prepare this case for trial or other resolution, and whether the parties have conferred as directed.
