Nov 1, 1795
1 Del. Cas. 79 (Del. Gen. Sess. 1795)

Opinion

November, 1795.

Petition by apprentice in Quarter Sessions. Indenture signed by the mother and master before JUSTICE HAYS.

Objection, that the master is not bound to give the apprentice a trade.

Court cannot do otherwise than discharge upon a faulty indenture; they cannot direct a new one to be made, they have no such authority. Vide 1 Body Laws 177, 331, June 29, 1791.
