Craig v. Blackwood

United States District Court, N.D. Texas
Apr 20, 2004
Civil Action No. 3:03-CV-2907-D (N.D. Tex. Apr. 20, 2004)

Opinion

Civil Action No. 3:03-CV-2907-D

April 20, 2004

ORDER

Plaintiffs April 15, 2004 motions to proceed in forma pauperis and for the appointment of counsel are denied. This case was concluded by final judgment entered February 12, 2004. Because it is no longer pending in this court, there is no need to grant plaintiff's motions. To the extent plaintiff has filed these motions in connection with a contemplated appeal of the judgment, an appeal would now be untimely, and plaintiff is not entitled to proceed in forma pauperis or to appointment of counsel to prosecute an untimely appeal. The motions are therefore denied.

SO ORDERED.
