REYNALDO CORONADO, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the Criminal District Court No. 6 Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F19-21469-X.

ORDER

DENNISE GARCIA JUSTICE

On January 8, 2024, this Court's case management system crashed, and some orders, including the following order issued on or about January 4, 2024, were not recovered. In the interest of the completeness of the Court's records, the Court issues the following order, which is the same in substance to the order of January 4, 2024, and effective as of that date.

Appellant's brief is overdue. Appellant's brief was originally due November 8, 2023. On November 27, 2023, this Court granted appellant's counsel's motion for extension of time to file the brief and ordered the brief filed by December 21, 2023. As of the date of this order, appellant's brief has not been filed, and appellant's counsel has not communicated with this Court since November 21, 2023.

We ORDER appellant's counsel, Kristin R. Brown, to file appellant's brief and a motion for extension of time to file the brief on or before JANUARY 16, 2024. If appellant's brief and a motion for extension of time to file the brief are not filed by that date, this appeal may be abated for the trial court to make findings in accordance with Rule of Appellate Procedure 38.8. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(b)(2).
