DAMON ERIC COPELAND, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 194th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause Nos. F09-54401-M & F09-59137-M

ORDER

The Court REINSTATES the appeals.

On August 15, 2016, we ordered the trial court to make findings regarding why the reporter's record had not been filed. We ADOPT the August 23, 2016 findings that: (1) appellant desires to pursue the appeals; (2) appellant is indigent and is represented by Michael Casillas who made a timely request for preparation of the reporter's record; (3) the court reporters were Yolanda Atkins-Holt and Belinda Baraka; (4) Yolanda Atkins-Holt has prepared her portion of the record and delivered it to Belinda Baraka; (5) Belinda Baraka has a backlog of appellate records to prepare and requests an additional thirty days to complete her portion and to compile the two reporter's records for filing; and (4) the trial court recommended a 30-day extension for Ms. Baraka to complete the record. We ORDER court reporter Belinda Baraka to file the compiled reporter's record in these appeals no later than September 28, 2016.
