Appellant's brief was originally due to be filed on September 13, 2024. Appellant's first motion for extension of time was granted, extending the deadline for filing the brief to October 11, 2024. Appellant filed a second motion for extension of time, which we granted, extending the deadline for filing the brief to November 12, 2024. The order stated, "Further requests for extension of time will be disfavored."
On November 12, 2024, appellant filed a third motion for extension of time requesting an additional thirty days to file the brief. In the interest of justice, the motion is GRANTED. Appellant's brief is due no later than December 12, 2024. THIS IS THE FINAL EXTENSION OF TIME APPELLANT WILL BE GRANTED ABSENT EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.8(b)(4) (appellate court must "act appropriately to ensure that the appellant's rights are protected" when appellant's brief is not timely filed).
