CITY OF SAN ANTONIO, Appellant v. Nadine REALME, Appellee

From the 73rd Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 2018CI14297
Honorable Rosie Alvarado, Judge Presiding

ORDER

After appellee failed to file her brief by the extended deadline in this accelerated appeal, this court ordered appellee by letter to file her brief or a motion for extension by no later than July 23, 2020. On July 24, 2020, appellee filed a motion for extension of time to file her brief, which she represented as being unopposed by appellant. Appellant has now filed a response in opposition disputing appellee's certificate of conference.

Appellee's motion for extension is DENIED and appellee's brief is now due. If no appellee's brief is filed by July 31, 2020, this appeal will be set for submission without an appellee's brief.

It is FURTHER ORDERED that counsel for appellee must file by no later than July 31, 2020 a letter to this court responding to appellant's contention that counsel for appellee misrepresented appellant's opposition to appellee's July 24, 2020 motion for extension of time.

Sandee Bryan Marion, Chief Justice

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 29th day of July, 2020.

Clerk of Court
