Opinion

Christopher Tudor CISNEROS, Appellant v. The STATE of Texas, Appellee

From the County Court at Law No. 7, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court No. 516540
Honorable Genie Wright, Judge Presiding

ORDER

The court is unable to determine from the clerk's record alone whether the trial court's certification of the defendant's right of appeal is defective. See Dears v. State, 154 S.W.3d 610, 614-15 (Tex. Crim. App. 2005) (holding court of appeals has duty to review record to determine if certification is contrary to the record and therefore defective).

We therefore reinstate the appellate deadlines and order the court reporter to file the record of the plea and sentencing hearings in this case by July 20, 2016.

/s/_________

Luz Elena D. Chapa, Justice

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said court on this 21st day of June, 2016.

/s/_________

Keith E. Hottle

Clerk of Court
