On July 1, 2023, petitioner's counsel, Daniel P. Ryan, filed on behalf of Sullivan & Worcester LLP, a Motion to Withdraw as Counsel, seeking the withdrawal of himself, Douglas S. Stransky, and Anna Lea Setz from further representation of petitioner. The Motion to Withdraw as Counsel is improper in that the motion does not provide prior notice of the motion to petitioner and respondent's counsel and the motion does not inform the Court if there is any objection to the motion, see Tax Court Rule 24(c)(4)(A). The Motion to Withdraw as Counsel also does not inform the Court of petitioner's current mailing address, email address (if any), and telephone number, see Tax Court Rule 24(c)(4)(B). Lastly, the Motion to Withdraw as Counsel is only signed by petitioner's counsel Daniel P. Ryan. In view of the foregoing, it is
ORDERED that on or before July 21, 2023, Mr. Ryan shall file a supplement to the Motion to Withdraw as Counsel and shall include therein a statement that notice has been provided to petitioner and to each of the other parties to this case and shall inform the Court whether there is any objection to the granting of the motion, as supplemented. Such supplement shall also include petitioner's then-current mailing address, email address (if any), and telephone number. The motion, as supplemented, shall be signed by each counsel desiring to withdraw their appearance.
