SHAMIM A. CHOWDHURY, Appellant v. CITIBANK, N.A., Appellee

On Appeal from the County Court at Law No. 5 Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. CC-19-06996-E

ORDER

Before the Court is appellant's May 19, 2020 motion for an extension of time to file his brief on the merits. Appellant filed his brief on May 19, 2020. We note the brief is deficient because it fails to comply with all of the requirements set forth in rule of appellate procedure 38.1. See TEX. R. APP. P. 38.1. Moreover, appellant's brief is not due until thirty days after the later of the date the clerk's record is filed or the reporter's record is filed. See id. 38.6(a). Neither the clerk's record nor reporter's record has been filed and they are not due until July 24, 2020. Accordingly, we STRIKE appellant's brief and DENY his extension motion as premature.

Appellant shall file a brief that meets the requirements of rule 38.1 within thirty days after the later of the filing of the clerk's record or reporter's record. See id. 38.1.
