Christopher L. Cheeley & LeeAnn Cheeley Petitioners v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

Christian N. Weiler Judge

This case is calendared for trial on the Court's February 7, 2022, Boise, Idaho remote trial session. On December 14, 2021, the parties filed a joint motion for continuance of trial and asks that the Court restore this case to the general docket. The motion states that this case is related to one other case that is not currently calendared for trial. The motion further states that petitioners have recently proposed an offer to resolve this case without trial and respondent is in the process of evaluating that offer. The parties believe that this case is susceptible to resolution without the need for trial.

Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that the parties' joint motion for continuance is granted and this case is stricken from the February 7, 2022, remote trial session. It is further

ORDERED that the undersigned judge retains jurisdiction over this case. It is further

ORDERED that on or before March 21, 2022, the parties shall file a joint report regarding the then-present status of the case. 1
